I know I am a bit late in reviewing this product, however I bought the much-hyped Miss Baby Roll Mascara by L’Oreal Paris a few months back but have been putting off trying it out due to all the bad press it’s been having. Clumpy, weird brush, tacky formula – this mascara really did sound awful. BUT, on a bored Saturday morning before attending a hen do this weekend, I decided ‘hey, why not’ and tried it out… and the results absolutely surprised me.
Another product right up my street! It’s that time of the year where I want to look like I’ve been to Ibiza for a month but don’t want to actually expose my face to a lifetime’s worth of sun damage in the process. Delighted to find a high-end product from my favourite make-up range that offers just that in a simple overnight mask! So let’s put it to the test…
As a lover of eye make up and mascara – Maybelline mascara, to be even more precise! – I was excited to try the new Falsies Push-Up Angel mascara in Waterproof. As a fan of the original Falsies Push-Up Drama (only in WP), I was intrigued by the similar formula but with a innovative new ‘angel-wing’ brush, which looked to achieve ‘fluttery winged out lashes that last all day!’
I was so excited to hear about this launch as this product combines EVERYTHING I love about make up at the moment.
When Charlotte Tilbury first launched her Instant Look in a Palette, I grabbed it straightaway. Who wouldn’t want all of her best-loved products all in one handy palette, gorgeous packaging, a giant and very practical mirror – all for under £50?
This is definitely a ‘YouTube made me buy it!’ kind of product after watching LilyPebbles and The Anna Edit rave about how perfect their skin was after using this. I know it’s not technically a new product, however the brand – which you can currently only buy in the US – is launching in the UK in June. It is also a fairly recent discovery for me so I thought, why not review it?
Although the Healthy Mix Serum has always been my holy grail drugstore foundation, as my skin has changed from normal/dry to normal/combination, I’ve been reaching for a less hydrating mix. Although the Healthy Mix Foundation is still ultra glowy and hydrating, it is toned down from the Serum formula and creates more of a natural finish.
With the new formula just released, lets have a look at these beauties in action!
I thought I would do a quick rundown of my everyday makeup that I am enjoying at the moment. The look I tend to go for is a natural, glowy and fresh with neutral tones and subtle, pretty eyes. Enjoy!
Even if it wasn’t Charlotte Tilbury, this mask definitely peaked my interest as it is a completely dry mask. In my experience, other sheet masks like this are just so uncomfortable, slip off and like the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask actually have so much wet product it just irritates my skin.
So, how could a dry mask possibly claim to completely contradict itself and provide hydration?! Only one way to find out…
So after becoming even more invested in skincare over the past year and slowly becoming a Caroline Hirons cult follower, I have come across the world of ‘acid toning’. Acid toning, apparently, fits into your skincare routine before applying serums or moisturiser in order to literally strip or peel your skin of any dead flakes or ingrained dirt that may lie. By exfoliating in such a chemical way, your skin is supposed to appear fresher and brighter; reviving skin by encouraging it to regenerate often.
The reasons why I decided to review these NIP + FAB ones were firstly, because I have heard so many people rave about them and saying how they make a difference to dull skin almost instantly, and secondly, I saw them in Superdrug on offer for £5 when they are usually £14.95… result! So, without further adieu, onto the product…
To escape the perilous Storm Doris in England last week, my boyfriend and I decided to seek some winter sun but without the long-haul flight and found ourselves in the wonderful world of Marrakech.
