FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

image-5

I was very much looking forward to my first monthly favourites post, as I can rave about what I have been loving this month, whether I have loved it for a few years or I have only come across it this month. This is mainly beauty favourites, with a bit of home ware and fashion thrown in here and there.

I have put links to the products in the titles so you can try out for yourself. These links are not affiliate links and none of these products are sponsored – I have bought them myself and have picked the ones I genuinely love.

Enjoy!

My current Evening/Night skincare routine

I thought I would share with you my current evening or night time skincare routine as a couple of people have messaged me about it, and I do like my night creams! I would like to mention though that this is quite elaborate for me and I don’t do it every night, as sometimes I am too lazy or tired and go straight to bed! However, if I am winding down and fancy a bit of me-time or my skin needs a bit of oomf! then this is the routine I tend to go for.

REVIEW: Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer

After reviewing the new Bourjois City Radiance Foundation, I’ve had many requests to also review Bourjois’s new concealer ‘Radiance Reveal’. Always striving for more radiance in my makeup routine, I jumped at the chance to get my hands on both of these products, and I was definitely not let down.

REVIEW: Garnier Ultimate Blends Mythic Olive ‘Weightless Nourisher’ Shampoo & Conditioner

Although Garnier Ultimate Blends don’t do a huge deal for my hair, I cannot get over the smells of all the different combos, particularly the Cocoa Butter and Coconut ‘Sleek Restorer’ shampoo. I took this with me to Sri Lanka a couple of years ago, so every time I use the shampoo I get such a wonderful sense of nostalgia of being in such a hot and beautiful country!

REVIEW: Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

I have always been one of those sceptics who think ‘oh, it’s such a marketing ploy to make a bottom lash mascara, why do you only have to use your normal mascara on your top lashes’ in the same way that I am sceptical when people try to sell ‘gluten-free water’. You get what I’m saying.

REVIEW: Olaplex No. 3

img_3462-1

A colleague of mine told me about this at work one day when I was complaining about my dry ends, claiming that she’d heard it ‘transforms bleached hair’ and was the product Kim K used when going that (awful) peroxide blonde a year or so ago. I’d also seen on of my favourite beauty bloggers Caroline Hirons harp on about this recently, so naturally I thought I must give it a try!

REVIEW: Maybelline’s ‘The Falsies Push Up Drama’ Mascara

I cannot tell you how sadly excited I was when I saw this hit the shelves in my local Boots shop a few weeks ago. As a repeat buyer of Maybelline’s False Lash Effect and having completely straight eyelashes, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I thought maybe I had found something even better!

REVIEW: Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Cream

So after my non-success with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream, I went in search for another innovative night use product, and was intrigued when I saw this new one from Garnier in Superdrug last week.

Quick, minimal, wake-me-up makeup look!

Just uploaded a tutorial on quick, easy, minimal make up! Something that I use every day really, mainly when rushing in the morning on the way to work and I look like a zombie – but don’t want to look like I’ve put loads of slap on!

My favourite Soap & Glory products

Hi everyone!

Just thought I would write a quick blog post on one of my favourite beauty brands at the moment: Soap and Glory! I have liked them for I imagine about 10 years now, when their sweet smelling and vintage-looking body butter was all the rage at school. However, since then they have really branched out into make up and skin care, which not only looks good and smells good, but it is bloody good as well!
