After reviewing the new Bourjois City Radiance Foundation, I’ve had many requests to also review Bourjois’s new concealer ‘Radiance Reveal’. Always striving for more radiance in my makeup routine, I jumped at the chance to get my hands on both of these products, and I was definitely not let down.
Aesthetically, the concealer doesn’t disappoint. It is in a simple rectangular, frosted glass jar which looks very cute in your makeup bag.
The consistency of the concealer is 100% what I need and what I try and aim for. It is very light, but not at all watery, meaning that it provides a lot of coverage without looking cakey in the slightest. It almost reminded me of NARS Creamy Concealer, but slightly less creamy. In fact, I was so impressed with this concealer as when I put it on, it didn’t even look like I was wearing makeup at all (result!)
It also does its job very well. As in, it conceals beautifully. I say this bearing in mind that I very fortunately don’t get any spots or breakouts, but have horrendous dark circles under my eyes which is why I am so obsessed with getting the right concealer. It covers up the dark and veiny zombie look which I succumb to on a daily basis and makes me look like I don’t actually want to murder the rest of the world in the morning.
I also have fairly dry skin around my eyes, which is also why this concealer is so good – because it doesn’t dry out at all and makes me look like I’ve had a wonderful power nap. It contains hydraulic acid which is one of my favourite ingredients in a makeup product, as it’s so hydrating which is great for combatting dry patches.
I generally don’t like to put powder underneath my eyes as I don’t like to cake my makeup on, or dry the skin under my eyes out, which would obviously make the staying power better on any concealer. That said, I feel like this concealer provides a good coverage and still bears a similar effect when I return from work in the evenings (about 12 hours later).
Overall, I am really impressed with this concealer and it is definitely a new addition to my every day make up. It does exactly what it says on the tin and would recommend to any one who needs a bit of sprucing up in the morning and something to hide those deathly dark circles under your eyes.
Please let me know what you think if you’ve had a try of this concealer, and if you would recommend any more! And also check out my review on the ‘City Radiance’ foundation which is a brilliant match to this concealer here.
