I can’t believe it’s April already! And that can only mean one thing… Monthly favourites time! I’ve been trying to save a bit of money this week as I ended up going on a skiing holiday this week which was eye-wateringly expensive, so sorry for the lack of new products! However, I hope you enjoy this post and if you would like to see me review anything or have something to recommend this month, then please let me know!
- Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation
This little beauty is an oldie but a goodie and has made its way back into my life recently! It’s such a great foundation and I haven’t found one as good as this. It’s not great for coverage, but if you want foundation doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything (literally, that’s the beauty of it) and you just want your skin to look like you’ve had a great night’s sleep and have a lovely healthy glow, then please please please invest in this foundation because it won’t let you down.

2. Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay Cologne
I got this for Christmas from my mum this year and it’s taken me until March to fall in love with it. I was used to Viktor and Rolf’s Flowerbomb before, so going from a sweet and floral scent to this was quite weird as it is much more citrusy and sophisticated. It’s quite a subtle fragrance, but when you get a whiff of it, it’s like ‘mmmmm! What is that?!’
It’s quite pricey, I think it’s around £90 for 100ml. But it is lovely for an everyday perfume and the packaging is very chic!
3. Bourjois Rice Java Smoothing and Setting Powder
I usually use Rimmel’s Stay Matte powder, or Bourjois’s Healthy Mix, but recently I had a try at this – mainly because I liked the old-fashioned packaging! It’s a loose powder and it’s very shimmery and highlighting, so not for every day. However, it does give a lovely glow and is quite good if you’re looking for something a bit more light-reflecting for under your eyes or an alternative for a highlighter.
4. Rosie for Autograph Radiance Cream
I really like the products I have tried so far in the Rosie for Autograph range, which can be found at M&S. The packaging is really stylish and very Charlotte Tilbury. I particularly like this cream and have been using it as a base to give my skin more of a subtle glow when I’m looking really tired. It is a subtle glow, which means it’s great for an every day added radiance. I am really looking forward to using it in the summer when I have a tan and I won’t need to use foundation!

5. Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Burnt Caramel
I am aware that this lipstick came out like 3 years ago, however I have just discovered it in this colour and I absolutely love it! It’s such a moisturising lipstick and this colour is a great pinky-brown nude that makes my lips look really full yet not OTT. It’s the perfect every day colour and since my lips get so dry in winter and I can’t use my matte lipsticks! I feel this is a good glossy version of Mac Velvet Teddy.
NB: I believe Max Factor is the same as CoverGirl in the US.
6. Real Techniques Bold Metals Powder Brush
A great addition to my brush collection! I love Real Techniques brushes, especially the bold metals collection. I usually use this one for an overall powder brush, rather than blush or bronzer, as it is a really thick brush and is better for big movements, rather than concentrated areas like the cheekbones.
7. Dove Summer Revived Moisturiser in Fair/Medium
I love this moisturiser and have been using it ever since it came out, probably about 10 years ago, every single summer. It is a very nourishing moisturiser, but also has a gradual tanning ingredient which looks very natural. One of the best things about it is that because it is gradual, you can control the deepness of the tan. I use it every summer to top up my natural tan so that I don’t have to spend hours in the sun getting sun damaged!
