Another Garnier Ultimate Blends review! (I know I cannot get enough…) This time it is the scrumptious Honey Treasures ‘The Strength Restorer’ balm.
For hair craving intense care, Garnier have created this balm to use once or twice a week instead of conditioner. Apparently, from the first wash hair feels healthier, stronger and breakage is reduced. Garnier also claim that in just one minute, hair feels intensely nourished and revitalised with a feeling of new strength.
It is made with a blend of 3 ingredients from the beehive: Honey, Royal Jelly and Propolis, meaning it is sure to smell lovely!
For the sake of this review I’d like to mention that with masks and hair balms I don’t use in the way that they instruct you (i.e. instead of conditioner as a general rule I don’t use conditioner anyway!) For me, I get the best effects by putting these on the ends of my hair and leaving overnight to wash out in the morning.
My hair type is basically that I have a lot of hair, but it is fine and prone to breakage. My hair gets dry at the ends but otherwise is fairly normal.
So, onto the review of the product itself…
My first impression of this product is that it smells absolutely divine. I couldn’t stop smelling my hair as soon as I had put this on and a few people mentioned that I smelt really sweet! The formula is also very thick and luxurious, which is amazing as you don’t need to use much of the product and considering the RRP is only £4.49!
The effects of this (just used on my ends in the normal fashion) were very impressive. I washed my hair with Tresemme’s 24 Hour Volume Shampoo the following morning and my ends looked visibly stronger and had a much healthier feel. I was surprised as I am always sceptical of claims that claim to have such a big impact after one use.
Because the ends looked so much healthier, I really felt the whole of my hair looked so much more vibrant and shiny, even though I hadn’t used the product over all of my hair. I even curled my hair at the weekend on the ends which usually makes them look a little bit dry and damaged, but they still looked strong and shiny.
I haven’t used this product with the similar shampoo and conditioner from the range, nor the serum, so I can’t tell you how this works all together. I have found in the past that the shampoo and conditioner have made my hair fall flat, but the use of the balm on the ends has been absolutely brilliant and I will definitely be incorporating this into my weekly hair routine!
Let me know what you think if you have tried this product or something similar, or if you have any ideas of what you would like me to review next! Opinions always appreciated.
Until next time,
