Review: L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara

Image result for l'oreal baby roll mascara

I know I am a bit late in reviewing this product, however I bought the much-hyped Miss Baby Roll Mascara by L’Oreal Paris a few months back but have been putting off trying it out due to all the bad press it’s been having. Clumpy, weird brush, tacky formula – this mascara really did sound awful. BUT, on a bored Saturday morning before attending a hen do this weekend, I decided ‘hey, why not’ and tried it out… and the results absolutely surprised me.

Obviously I decided to buy the mascara in Black Waterproof as I really didn’t fancy wearing the teal colour it also comes in! Firstly I do like the packaging, the pastel colours are quite cute and go well together.

The brush is…  well, a bit odd. When I first saw it I couldn’t quite imagine how it would work out or grab all of my lashes. I almost expected it to be like their Miss Manga range which makes the lashes look spikey and clumped together. However, I was very wrong as the effect was the opposite as you can see in the photos below!

My lashes look so much longer, they are more separated and defined but at the same time they almost look natural! I really love this mascara and was so pleasantly surprised with the results. Somehow the weird brush manages to grab all the lashes and lengthen them massively.

It also holds the curl up all day long, which is ultimately what I personally look for in a mascara as  have straight eyelashes. Although it has a great hold, it also comes off easily with make up remover which I wasn’t expecting it to.

I honestly cannot find any faults with this mascara, except the only slight one is that it isn’t my favourite for the bottom lashes as I feel the brush is slightly too big, but really that is such a minor gripe as everything else is so amazing. I think I would even go as far as saying this mascara may be in my top 5 and would 100% recommend it, especially those with straight eyelashes.

Let me know what you think if you’ve tried this mascara or if you can recommend something even better! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Love Edie x

  1. I’m surprised you actually managed to try this out despite the negative reviews. I don’t think I could still go out and purchase this since I’ve been quite content with my Maybelline Lash Sensational so far! 😀
